Change in Seasons Warming Tea Recipe!

This warming beverage is wonderful served either hot or cold.  Aside from being delicious, this tea is also very good for your health!

Turmeric is known for it's anti-inflammatory properties and is a wonderful way to ease the transition from hot to cold temperatures during the fall season. Adding a tiny pinch of black pepper aids in the absorption of the benefits turmeric offers, ginger is helpful with digestion, cinnamon helps to level out blood sugar and maple syrup is just so darn good, I’d argue it makes just about everything better!

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups water
  • ½ teaspoon finely chopped ginger
  • 1-teaspoon turmeric
  • 1-teaspoon cinnamon
  • a dash of pepper
  • 1-tablespoon maple syrup
  • a splash of cream or your favorite nut milk (optional)

Instructions:

Put water, turmeric, pepper, ginger and cinnamon in a saucepan, stir and bring to a boil and then let simmer for 5-8 minutes. Strain into your favorite teapot, pour into a cup and then stir in maple syrup and cream or your favorite nut milk to taste.

Now’s a good time to grab a good book, snuggle up in your favorite blanket, and enjoy the gift of life.
