We take great care and pride in crafting our handmade pottery to be hearty and intended for daily use. That being said, from time to time there are manufacturing and material defects that come into play, and we have created the following defects policy to care for our customers and stand behind our pottery when such a defect occurs. Given the nature of handmade pottery, defects nearly always occur in very specific ways, and within a short time period of regular use, so our defects policy timeline reflects this.
30 days from delivery/pickup:
While we inspect and test each piece before it leaves our studio, a small number of manufacturing or material issues only reveal themselves with normal use. If your piece develops a crack or breaks within 30 days of delivery/pickup, please contact us with:
Photos of the full piece, including the bottom, and close-ups of the crack/break
A brief description of what happened (including recent use/cleaning)
Your receipt/order number or approximate purchase date and the last 4 digits of the card used for purchase (so we can look up your receipt).
If, after review, we determine the issue is consistent with a manufacturing/material defect, we will replace the piece with the same item. If that item is unavailable, we will offer the closest comparable replacement or store credit.
After 30 days, we generally do not replace broken pieces. However, you are still welcome to reach out with photos and purchase information; our team will evaluate and consider each situation on a case by case basis.
Replacement is not available for damage caused by impact, accidents, handling, stacking pressure, or use outside our care guidance (for example: knocks against sinks/counters/backsplashes, drops, everyday wear and tear or accidental breakage). For more information on how to care for your handmade pottery, please refer to our pottery care guidelines page.
Please keep the piece and any fragments until we finish reviewing your request. Eligibility decisions are based on internal inspection criteria and are final.

As a small, family owned studio that creates each piece by hand, your support and investment in our pottery means a great deal to us! If you have questions regarding this or other policies, or are unsure if your broken piece will be covered, please do not hesitate to reach out to us!
