ROAD TRIP OF MEMORIES IN THE COMPANY TRUCK

Jennie and I took a trip over to Lolo last Saturday to look at a reach-in merchandiser for selling To-Go food at The Coffee Pot. It was a gorgeous, golden fall day and the merchandiser seemed just exactly what we’d been searching for, and wanting for nearly a year, so we purchased it.

As we were driving over in our 1993 Toyota pickup, we began to talk about all the trips we had taken for the company in that little truck. Jennie mentioned that one of her favorite photos is one she took when we were headed out to do a pottery show on the east coast. At the time we had a small, two-wheel trailer we loaded down with all of our display racks. The back of the pickup was also piled high with apple boxes full of pottery. It was quite a sight, and as we were traveling, Jennie looked over and saw the shadow cast on the bank along the road. She grabbed the camera and took a picture to capture the moment.

We realized on this trip that the pickup currently has 289,600 miles on the original engine! We calculated that of those miles, we have driven about 222,600 miles traveling together from coast to coast across the United States hauling pottery and doing shows.

What a book of memories God has given us in all those miles!
